We do many fun activities throughout the day. The children learn social skills as well as kindergarten readiness skills through play, story time, snack, independent classroom activities, small group activities and outdoor/gym time.
Your child will need to bring a book bag and a change of clothes to school each day. Please remember to write your child's name on these items, as well as anything else that is brought to school.
The monthly classroom calendar will list each child's name, which will be his/her Show & Tell day. On that day the child listed on the calendar may bring in one show & tell item. If it is your child's birthday, that day will be his/her Show & Tell day and he/she may bring in a birthday snack (Must not contain tree nuts or peanuts). We will send home this calendar on paper, or you may download from this website. We accept snack donations any time as long as they are unopened and do not contain nuts. A list of acceptable snacks can be found by clicking the "Classroom Forms" tab of this webpage.
If you are interested in helping with holiday parties or in the classroom, please let me know. Anyone who volunteers at school will need to fill out a volunteer form and have a background check.
When bringing your child to the classroom, please remember that the South door of the Annex, (by the Middle School parking lot), is the entrance to the Preschool classes ONLY at the beginning and end of class time. If you are running late, you will have to get a pass from the office in our main building, walk your child to his/her classroom, then return the office pass on your way out. Do not bring your child to the classroom before class begins, as we are not available before this.
If your child is going to be picked up by anyone other than the adult who normally picks him/her up, we MUST receive a phone call or note written by a guardian.
We send home a newsletter each week, so be sure to look for it. At the end of each month you will receive a calendar for the next month. Throughout the week notes from the district, reminders of upcoming events, etc. will come home, so have your child empty his/her book bag each night.
